Lavender Meatloaf Ingredients
¼ cup minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 ½ teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
2 pounds extra-lean ground beef
3 slices bread, toasted and crumbled
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 pint size Mason Jar of Lavender Salsa
¼ cup milk (Optional)
Directions
Step 1 - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2 - In a large bowl, mix the onion and garlic, beef, crumbled bread, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and Lavender Salsa. Gradually stir in the milk 1 teaspoon at a time until mixture is moist, but not soggy. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer the mixture to a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
Step 3 - Bake uncovered in the preheated oven 40 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), and continue baking 15 minutes, to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

Yield:10 servings or 4 mason pint size jars
Lavender Salsa Ingredients
4 large fresh tomatoes sliced and diced (save the juices)
¼ onion, sliced and coarsely chopped
4 cloves of garlic minced
1 lime juiced or 1 lemon juiced (your preference but just use one)
1 large green pepper chopped and diced
½ cup fresh cilantro leaves
¼ teaspoon Ground Cumin
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon of Sugar or Sugar substitute (your preference for dietary purposes)
1 small pinch of culinary lavender (only a small pinch is need for that extra Lavender Flavor)
Directions
Step 1- Place all the ingrediants above in a large mixing bowl and stir. Spoon mixture into 4 seperate pint size Mason Jars and place in the refrigerator overnight.
Step 2 - Enjoy with tortilla chips, pita chips or in other receipes that call for cans of tomatoes and peppers but you prefer fresh ingredients.
